A massive open online course (MOOC) is a free Web-based distance learning program that is designed for the participation of large numbers of geographically dispersed students. A MOOC may be patterned on a college or university course or may be less structured.


The online courses will be taught through Moodle learning management system (LMS)



Time frame for the Remix course:


  • 1st module: Introduction/ History and Philosophy (2 ECTS): 5th -18th October

  • 2nd module: Sociology and International Migration (2 ECTS): 19th October- 1st November

  • 3rd module: Psychology and Migration (2ECTS): 2nd November – 15th November

  • 4th module: Human Mobility, Pedagogy of Migration and Cultural Intelligence (2ECTS): 16th November- 29th November

  • 5th module: Cultural and Literary Studies (2ECTS): 30th November- 13th December

  • 6th module: Migration and Cultural Rights (2ECTS): 14th December – 30th December

Each course is 2-credit (ECTS) that means students will undertake about 50-60 hours of work. The courses are fully online, each one will run for three weeks. They will consist of recordings, reading materials, discussions, quizzes and a collaborative project.


REMix project aims to strengthen the role played by the university in advocating for constructive, responsible and inclusive education about migration in Europe and  encourages the social and democratic involvement of migrants in European universities
